New To Teaching

I am fairly new to teaching and want to share a few thoughts. I was a programmer for the dental insurance/medical travel insurance industry before making a move to teaching. In that industry, we recently started using social networking platforms to train our employees. These networks allowed us to share ideas, images, videos, and online training tools with our employees. They became totally engaged though this media. I want to setup a similar training network for my students. I am running into all sorts of obstacles however. The administration does not want to use a web interface that has advertisements, so that eliminates free ning sites. They also don't think that all the kids will have access, which may be legitimate. But the kids that do, I think I could reach them in a way and in a world they live in. I believe that using these tools can have a profound affect on these young minds. I just need to figure out how to get it done.
